Have questions about ALS research, clinical trials, or drug development?

Register for ALS Research and Clinical Trials 101 Q&A Drop-In

Our next drop-in session is on Wednesday March 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET.

This monthly Q&A drop-in session is available for people living with ALS, their families, caregivers, and anyone close to someone living with the disease who is seeking information or might have questions about ALS research and/or clinical trials. The ALS Canada Research Team is available to answer any questions and help you find resources on these topics:

  • ALS research and clinical trial updates
  • Opportunities for participation in research
  • Clinical trial design and information
  • Drug development
  • ALS genetics
  • And more!

Please note the following expectations to help keep this a respectful, safe, and focused space:

  1. This is a confidential, research focused drop-in, and not a support group. For non-research-related support, please contact: [email protected]
  2. Please do not ask others for personal details, including contact information, disease progression, or genetic status, unless they choose to share it.
  3. Be respectful of all participants. Abusive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
  4. ALS Canada does not provide medical advice or make referrals related to drug therapies or alternative therapies. These questions should be discussed directly with a medical professional – ideally an ALS neurologist, who would be qualified to interpret clinical information for individual situations.

We welcome your questions about genetics! However, only our National ALS Genetic Counsellor can provide individual, confidential counselling. Contact: [email protected].
